Drake Sprague is a geographer, geospatial analyst, researcher, and artist. For more than fifteen years, he has combined these skills to enhance the work of indigenous field missionaries across the Amazon jungle, in remote regions of Panama and Mexico, and more recently, in parts of Africa and Asia. Drake fills an essential role by identifying where missionaries are most urgently needed. Trained as a human geographer, Drake is highly experienced in mapping the locations of unique people groups—the ‘ethnos’ or ‘nations’ as referred to in Matthew 18 and in Revelation 7:9—distinguished by ethnicity, language, and culture. As he travels, Drake collects information to define the scope, nature, and needs of unreached people groups while also training missionaries to do their own research and planning. Over the years, Drake has spent months living in remote tribal villages, traversing jungle trails, mountain passes, and seemingly endless rivers while “equipping the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12). Together with his wife, Megan, Drake seeks to honor and glorify God by discipling his family first (1 Timothy 5:8, 3:5) while seeking every viable opportunity to partner with indigenous, church-planting missionaries engaged in the Great Commission. We need your help to sustain this important ministry. To find out more please visit https://alteco.org/drake-and-megan-sprague.
