Since 2011, we have served indigenous missionaries on a full time basis by equipping them with the information they need to connect with and make disciples of unreached people groups. Starting out as a Researcher/Geographer with Etnopedia in Oaxaca, Mexico, Drake took on the role of South America Research Coordinator for ALTECO in 2013 (positions he still holds). Drake also now serves with Gospelink (gospelink.org) to create a robust research strategy for it to amplify the effectiveness and reach of indigenous missionaries across Africa, Eurasia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Americas. As God gives the increase, and we rejoice!
This is a HUGE step. The primary mission of Gospelink, like ALTECO, is to partner with indigenous and national Christian ministry leaders to magnify the work of church planting missionaries, pastors and preachers. Since its founding in 1998, the Lord has worked through Gospelink to establish over 44,000 churches! Gospelink currently oversees an extensive network of 1000+ pastors and church planters in 15 countries, as well as a Bible college in the south central African nation of Zambia. One specific way Drake is helping Gospelink is by implementing methods to better evaluate these churches while identify opportunities to expand further into other unreached or underserved regions. This parallels and complements our work with ALTECO in South America, and as part of his new role, Drake will help Gospelink expand into Latin America.
